Xbox 360 Slim is the new version of Microsoft's successful gaming console which has a new design and a new slim design. Slim can be seen as a response to Playstation 3's "PS3 Slim" and like that one, 360 Slim has a 250 GB hard drive and an updated look. What's also new with Xbox 360 Slim is that it now comes with builtin Wi-Fi, support for Kinect-entertainment as well as having more USB-ports- this still keeping a price tag not so much different from the white original Xbox 360 when it got released.
The new Slim-edition will also be available in a version with a 4 GB hard drive for those wanting to press the price down even further. Then there are a couple of so called "bundles" which ships the console unit together with a game or extra peripheral. The bundles available now are Halo Bundle with Halo 3: ODST, Halo Wars and Halo 3 Classic, A bundle with Mafia 2 and a bundle with Gears of War 2 - Game of the Year Edition. Microsoft is also planning to release a Kinect Bundle in November which contains a 4 GB Xbox 360 Slim, a Kinect-sensor and games.

Xbox 360 Slim functions
Kinect-entertainment: New for Xbox 360 Slim is Microsoft's hardware Kinect which lets you experience entertainment by using your body instead of the controller to control games and play video.
Built-in Wi-Fi: Unlike the old Xbox 360 which only had a built-in wired Ethernet-connection or where you had to buy a wireless card for up to hundred dollars, Slim has Wi-Fi built in from the start. It's compatible with b/g/n-networks.
Touch sensitive buttons: New buttons on the console lets you start or turn off as well as eject a disc from the drive with a swipe of your finger.
More USB-ports: You can now connect more external hard drives, USB-drives or such to save your games and playback media with a total of 5 USB ports (3 on the back and 2 on the front).
A more silent fan: The old Xbox 360 is known for its high fan sound, but this problem is solved by exchanging the two small fans to one bigger for better acoustics.
Less power consumption: The new power supply is smaller and more effecient.
Play games: Play loads of games which is av available on DVD-discs or by buying the games digitally in Xbox LIVE Marketplace either with money or with so called Xbox Live points. I Marketplace there is also game demos that you can download for free.
Watch movies: Xbox 360 Slim works as a good DVD-player and you can even buy or rent movies in HD or Standard Definition in Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

Download extra material: Many games today gives yout he abillity to later buy and download so called DLC (Downloadable Content), which opens up new levels in the game, new characters or items. You can also buy and download new themes and clothes to your avatar and more.
